Markota Angus Ranch

The Markota Angus Ranch is located in Northeast Ohio, owned by Mark and Jodi Markota and managed by Bobby Rawson. The herd is based on a strong grass and forage program and consists of 180 registered Angus and commercial females. Each year 40-50 embryo calves are produced.

Markota Angus Ranch is the home of some of the great Angus females in the breed including SAV Elba 038, SAV Madame Pride 2548, Siebring Elba 666, SAV Madame Pride 7988, Siebring Abigale 704, SH Lady 7321 939, GAR Daybreak M281 and Whitestone Enamel 4173. This is just an example of the powerful females that are in the program.

Two resident herd sires call Markota Angus Ranch their home, Sitz All Pro 5158 and Boyd Markota 9202. You will find a strong AI program with such legendary sires as DB Iconic, BJ Surpass, Sitz Resilient, HCC Whitewater and Sterling Pacific. Markota Angus Ranch has a number of calves sired by SAV America, SAV President, SAV Rainfall, SAV Bismarck, SAV Emblem and SAV Elation, just a few of the great sires that have been used.

At Markota Angus Ranch, care and management of the herd is the top priority. The rolling hills of Northeast Ohio make a great terrain for Aberdeen-Angus.

Mark and Bobby are great stewards of the land, using many conservation practices to make Markota Angus Ranch even better. They along with their friends, specialize in taking excellent care of around 1200 acres of owned and leased land.
